Volunteers are a very important part of PEAR Park. They helped keep the land in public hands, and eventually in becoming a public park.The Volunteers have organized the effort to create PEAR Association, they have obtained grants from various sources, fund raisers, and lastly they provide the labor to transform PEAR Park to what it is today. They have planted over 6000 plants, numerious pounds of wildflower seeds and have a unique system, the white PVC pipes indicates the location of new plants.
