The PEAR Park Story

The 314 acre Palatlakaha Environmental and Agricultural Reserve (PEAR) is located at 5336 University Ave, Leesburg, Florida on the west side of US 27, approximately 2 miles south of the intersection of US27 and County Road 48. From 1958 to 2000. The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) used the site for the Central Florida Research and Education Center (CFREC) as the primary location for Watermelon and Grape research.
